Edenbridge Cricket Club Sunday Academy v Chipstead, Coulsdon and Walcountians CC on Sun 30 Aug 2009 at 2.00
Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost by 3 wickets

Match report Edenbridge batted first and stryggles to gain an y real momentum. The usually dependable Jordan and Johns - with 6 50s between them this year were both out to good bowling as were Cook, Mason and gardiner, all making contributions but no one really getting going. Goodhew then came in and played an excellent anchor innings of 58 not out and looked very comfortable throughout. Seb had some support from Woodman (j) and Khan but Edenbridge ran out of time and runs at 152, which always looked a little light.
Tyson and Khan took 2 early wickets for Edenbridge both bowling reliably and accuractely once again, but then a strong third wicket stand put CCW in a good position. The bowling attack continued to perform, supported by strong fielding. Tyson went on to take 3 wickets, Mason 2 (yes I said Mason)and Woodman bowled with good control for figures of 1-15.
Although we gave them a scare CCW were always quite comfortable winners. Another match played in excellent spirits, and definitely one for next year.
