Edenbridge Cricket Club redundant v Holmesdale on Thu 26 Jun 2008 at 6pm
Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost Holmesdale won

Match report Choosing to bat first, Edenbridge got off to a good start against strong bowling. First Stephen (27) and then George(26) were retired and at half way 57 looked OK. James Witt hung in there and scored a sensible 11, but other wickets fell at bit easily so we finally reached 96 for 9.

Returning member Alex took 2 wickets in the first over and gave us renewed hope that revenge might be possible. However their next 2 batsmen got a 70 partnership and they reached our total with 4 overs to spare with only 3 wickets down. Too many wides were bowled giving them easy runs, often with a bye as well.

A lot of effort for only 2 batting points!
