Tunbridge Wells Borderers v Edenbridge Cricket Club redundant on Thu 21 Jun 2007 at 6pm
Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost

Match report Having lost the toss, we faced a strong Borderers team, all 11 year olds. They used just 6 bowlers who didn't give too much away. A steady start from James and George got us going, then Stephen and James steadily picked up runs, James reaching a season best of 21 (unlucky to be out lbw) and Stephen getting to another retirement at 25 no. Thereafter a few bits and wides took us to a not unreasonable score of 107 for 6.

Bowling - oh dear - too many (18 = 36 runs) wides and no-balls assisted their batsmen who picked off the runs in 15.1 overs to reach our total with 4 wickets lost. Highlights would be 2 catches by Mark Waterhouse and one by Callum, and 2 wickets for Matthew and George L. We also need to be able to field in the positions that the ball is being hit to, learning to adjust more quickly and to anticipate.
