Cowdrey v Edenbridge Cricket Club redundant on Thu 31 May 2007 at 6pm
Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost by 1 run!

Match report No rain - lets play cricket! A lovely evening on what looked like a very nice pitch.
Choosing to bat first our whole innings was a steady progress really, with only Ben and Michael getting into double figures. Their bowling and fielding was good and we really needed to get just a few more runs, possibly by sharper running between the wickets. I think of 100 as being a good target to set, although 83 for 8 was probably par for the night.

Their innings started with Billy bowling two batsman out, but their no.3 progressed nicely to 26 retired, and no.4 to 15. Having got rid of these two thereafter they too seemed to struggle a bit for runs, helped by good bowling and not too many wides.

So it all came down to the last over, they needed 7 to win. A stunning catch by Robert seemed to tip it in our favour, but an overthrow on the last ball gave them a one run victory.
