Edenbridge Cricket Club Under 15 v Groombridge on Sun 10 Jun 2007 at 10.00
Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost by 5 wickets

Match report We won the toss and elected to bat. Seb carried on in his rich vein of form striking the ball well. Tom can't buy a run at the moment and was bowled and Alex got a ball that didn't bounce. Nathan should have realised that he was batting with a serial run out speciallist and hesitated for a fatal fraction of a second. Gone.
Levi came to the crease and was inspired. The running between the wickets was of the highest order and it looked as if Edenbridge was going to post a good score before Seb was narrowly run out for 31. Levi carried his bat for an unbeaten 37.

Groombridge's opening pair started well and looked comfortable until Josh got one in the right place and Tom took a great catch. The other opener was run out and the Groombridge coach started to look worried. Nathan took a couple of quick wickets and Tim piled on the agony with 3 tight overs and took a wicket. Then just as it seemed that we could win this game the opposition scored 14 runs in one over and that was that.
A better performance which just needed another 20 runs to put them under a little more pressure.
