Edenbridge Cricket Club Lost by 21 runs

Match report For a first match of the season this game showed a lot of promise (despite the result!). Tom B captained the side well. In the field their were a number of good performance, most notably Daniel showed how effective safe hands and good throwing can be. Scott & Callum opened the bowling and both had 2 wkts to their names and there was some excellent ecconomical bowling from Hugo, Ellie & James. After some earl cheap wkts the opposite gradually dug themselves in and managed to accumulate over 50 extras to take their innings total to 86. Elliot and Seb opened but couldn't get off the mark, Rupert and Tom worked their way in but a mis-commmunication proved fatal. Rupert went on to scored a sensible 16 before giving his wkt. James, Matthew and Hugo where solid at the crease but the bowling proved to be to good and we didn't meet the RRR to overhaul the away team, finishing with 65 for 5 wkts. Well played everyone - a solid start to the season with some real positives to take from the match.
