Edenbridge Cricket Club Won by 5 wickets

Match report Invalids batted first on a high scoring day with 500 runs being scored for the loss of 10 wickets. Dan Cox (appearing for Bridge after his recent Bosman transfer)and Jordan for the 'bridge off to a very steady start bowling economically and making a couple of early breakthroughs. Thereafter followed a strong stand of 160 odd which was difficult to break. However the Edenbridge bowlers manfully stuck at it and eventually got some rewards with Dan Cox's bowling being the pick of the bunch. The fielding was excellent throughout.
Bridge set off in pursuit of 246 brimming with confidence and Jordan and Cabassi played superbly the latter riding his luck on a number of occasions and just missing out on his maiden century, making 97. Joyce and Murphy made further contributions and Bridge eventually cruised to a fine victory by 5 wickets. Overall a great day against fine opposition played in excellent spirits.
